We get all sorts of things donated to us. We’ll gladly accept almost anything as we can usually find a way to benefit from whatever comes through the door. Sometimes we find a rare gem, a vintage marvel that collectors will scrabble and fight to own. Sometimes we get tools made of exotic hardwoods, sparkling polished brass, individually hand crafted and more art than tool. And sometimes we get one of these.

You do have to admire the ingenuity and, quite frankly, the ergonomics. This is one we’ll keep. It’s just too special and tells a story of how a person will go to any length to keep a favourite tool working.
