This week marks a first for us and it’s almost embarrassing. We were pleased to host a group of women from the Soroptimists International – Port Talbot. These remarkable women, whose mission and values closely match our own, have for fourteen years been supporting our cause by collecting tools and sewing machines for us to send to Tanzania. They have provided us with van loads of tools, literally hundreds of sewing machines, but this was our first chance to meet them.
We showed them our rapidly filling container. They had a look at our depot where we store tools before packaging them up for the container. They moved up to our workshop and saw the work we’ve taken on to make things covid-safe. Finally they settled into a nice lunch at a local establishment before heading home.
We’re very pleased that they visited us and we are looking forward to many more years of their support.
