We recently received two emails from Mwanza with updates regarding the leatherwork training we mentioned in a previous post. One from Florah Magabe and one from Dr. Mmari of the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (Mwanza).

After this very successful meeting they were able to arrange for the admission of three women from Ms. Magabe’s organisation into the DIT leatherwork school. A great opportunity for them for sure, which will begin on April 17th this year. We understand that Dr. Mmari has offered her technical support for her operation as well.

We will be supplying hand tools as well as the leather sewing machines to the DIT in our next container which is very good news for us as well. It’s always nice to see things moving forward.
